Ruby brings a wealth of experience supporting children and adults with a wide range of Additional Learning Needs across schools, after‑school clubs, day centres and community settings. Her background includes both group work and dedicated 1:1 support, where she has built strong, trusting relationships and helped individuals develop their social, emotional and communication skills.

She has managed after‑school, Saturday and summer clubs for children with autism, creating environments where every child feels understood, supported and able to thrive. Ruby is skilled in assessing communication needs and developing personalised approaches that work for each individual, ensuring they have a meaningful way to express themselves.

Ruby holds a CACHE Level 2 qualification in Childcare and an NVQ in Health and Social Care, completed while working in a day centre supporting adults with ALN. She has regularly collaborated with families and schools, reviewing needs weekly and shaping the most effective strategies for each person’s development.

She is also trained in DIR Floortime, a relationship‑based intervention model that promotes social, emotional and intellectual growth in children with autism or developmental delays — an approach that aligns beautifully with creative, child‑centred work in the arts.

Alongside her role at Ballyhoo, Ruby now works in bookkeeping and accounts administration, bringing organisation, reliability and a calm, professional presence to everything she does.
